Plan for roof debris, decks and wooded surroundings.

For homes near forest or open land, the review connects roof and gutter debris, vents, deck undersides, vegetation and stored combustible materials. A maintenance plan helps keep completed improvements effective as needles, leaves and vegetation return.

Vents, roof edges and gutter debris

For Bend, Sisters and nearby homes, review how needles and leaves collect at roof intersections, gutters and vents. Separate routine cleaning from vent retrofits, noncombustible gutter protection and repairs to exterior openings.

Decks and nearby vegetation

Assess the underside of decks, stored firewood and the vegetation nearest the home before setting a larger thinning scope. The work plan can combine building improvements with a defined vegetation treatment area.

Maintenance for seasonal properties

For Sunriver, Black Butte Ranch and other seasonal homes, include access and occupancy details in the request. A clear maintenance plan identifies debris and vegetation tasks to revisit after the initial work.

What to include in your request

Include exterior photos, roof and vent details, wooded areas or vegetation you want reviewed, and any inspection notes. Tell us about seasonal access and occupied or vacation-home scheduling needs.

Planning your project

Does a regional service listing replace a local inspection?

No. We review your project scope and applicable local requirements before scheduling work. Any local authority or insurer inspection remains separate from the estimate.

Can I use an Oregon defensible-space assessment to request work?

Yes. Share the recommendations from your assessment and identify the items you want priced. A1 Ember can discuss a project estimate; that conversation is separate from an agency assessment or any official inspection.

What happens after I request an estimate?

We confirm receipt by email, review your address and proposed work, and reach out to discuss the project. The team confirms scope, site-visit needs and scheduling before work begins.

Can improvements reduce my insurance premium?

Insurance discounts vary by state, insurer and policy. The California FAIR Plan example on our calculator does not establish savings for a property outside California. Ask your insurer or broker about eligible improvements and retain records of the completed work.
